In accordance with the guidance of the Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach שליט״א of Lubavitch, the Chabad House strives to ensure that every mitzvah is performed in the most complete and beautiful way possible not only in a spiritual sense, but also with physical beauty and dignity. This approach reflects the desire to channel all the beauty and greatness of creation and dedicate it to the service of Hashem.

In 5765 (2005), construction began on the Mikveh Keilim, which was established to enable the observance of the mitzvah of immersing utensils - a mitzvah from the Torah. This mitzvah requires glass and metal utensils, and according to common practice, plastic utensils as well, that were previously owned by a non-Jew and are therefore considered impure, to be purified through immersion. In order for these utensils to be fit for use by the Jewish people, a holy and pure nation, they must be immersed in a kosher mikveh to remove the impurity associated with them.

The construction of the mikveh was accompanied by many difficulties and challenges, and over the years, repeated efforts were made to complete the project. By the grace of Heaven, in the month of Iyar 5783, the Mikveh Keilim was officially opened to serve the wider public. The mikveh is kosher lemehadrin, and its waters are rainwater specially brought from the Andes Mountains.

We invite you to come at any time of day or night and immerse your utensils in our mikveh in the most proper and meticulous manner. Through the fulfillment of this mitzvah, may we merit to add greater holiness and purity to the Jewish people.
